“El espacio entre, O espaço Entre, The Space Between”, engages the architecture of a garage to explore the limits between face (facade, or what-is-seen), and voice (thoughts, words, what-is-said). Recordings of conversations with friends give context to the work, which explores daily life, political disasters, and protest in a global context. ____________________________________________________ DSG is born in Medellín Colombia en 1988 spends first años watching La Flauta Mágica on VHS mientras ciudad se violenta one day sees a snake eat a squirrel and has an asthma attack in an apple orchard pero es fan de Sigourney y el bolero desde el principio. Has had the odd luck of knowing some North and parte del Sur, likes making movies and music & texto y textil. Le copia a Abraxas (aguilar) cuando el-la dice que “todo es un collage.” Ruben Garcia Marrufo is born in Los Angeles in 1986 and moves back two days later to Mexicali where he would spend the next 30 years living there. He didn't spoke until he was 6 years, although his family believed he talked in private with his toys. The first 11 years of education were spent in a nun school where he learn about divine intervention and the big bang. Got kicked out of several high schools and colleges. Makes films with friends, enemies and on his own. Academically is a business administrator but the search of the cinematic is the drive that will see the end of his life. ______________________
